The Experience of Kindness!
I have come to realize the random acts of kindness doesn't mean that you have to do something extravagant to please someone. The smile on your face or just asking someone if they need help can make the person's day a whole better than what it really was. There is a time that a person may need something back from others but they never showed any kindness to them so therefore in return they may not receive what they are expecting. I believe if you do good to people then they will do good to you and vice versa. I believe that in this lifetime you may be rewarded with gifts, money, or someone just helping you out in the same way you helped them. I said all of that to say this be helpful to others and show random acts of kindness to others such as leaving coupons at the counter that you didn't use someone else may need them or just ask someone if they need help with groceries. Let's come together and start being a little nicer.

Memories...
I remember when my cousin was little that my grandparents grew a garden. We would keep my cousin because her parents worked and she was an only child. Every evening we would walk down to the garden to make sure the vegetables were growing and no wild animals had eaten our hard work. Well one evening that we had walked down and we were explaining to my cousin what the vegetables were and that they were good to eat, my grandmother went over and picked up the eggplant and said Kaitlin do you know what this is she said "What mamaw?" My mamaw said "Kaitlin this is an eggplant". She was baffled by what my mamaw had said she looked at me and my papa and said mamaw you are silly eggs don't grow on plants they come from chickens. We all just laughed. I thought she was so cute but now she is getting so grown up.

And a skirt was made...
I had asked a lady that I attend church with if she knew how to make a skirt out of pants and she said yes. So we proceeded with the conversation of when and how we could possibly work this into our busy schedules. On Wednesday night she told me come to my Sunday school room and ask me what my schedule is for Sunday afternoon. So I did that after a hectic Sunday morning of doing my hair and picking out my clothes and actually getting to church a little early to do that. So I got the pair of pants to make into the skirt and she showed me how to make it into a skirt, but she said she would make it for me if I wanted her to. So I decided she would make it for me from now on because she knows what she is doing.

The Thanksgiving of the Past!
We used to all gather together at my Mamaw's house here in Tennessee, now they live in Florida and we do not get to do that anymore. I remember one Thanksgiving I didn't even eat the traditional Thanksgiving meal. I had a youth conference to go to and it is always the week of Thanksgiving so we ended up eating Chinese Food for Thanksgiving. I remember getting home the the Friday after Thanksgiving and eating a plate of leftovers and I knew I was glad to be home then. All we do is make a simple phone call now to make sure everything is going well and how everyone is doing. In every aspect of the Holiday I think I miss my family the most.

Thanksgiving
I usually think about the smell of food on thanksgiving, but this year I am thinking a little more on the family and what the true meaning of the season is. I think that we need to give thanks for the country that we live in and the food that is provided on most of our tables. We get so caught up in the shopping for Christmas, really Thanksgiving has a whole new meaning to me. Most of my family I do not even get to spend the holidays with because they live in another state. Any time that I do get to spend some time with them that is my Thanksgiving or Christmas. The holiday season is upon us so think about what they really mean to you and not so much the material things in life more about the family and getting to spend it together. I just thought about this as something for people to really analyze in their lives.

The Man on the Corner...
In today's world you look around and you see all types of people. You do not know their past, where they have been and where they are going. You can judge a person by how they look or where they live or by what they drive, in the end you still do not know who they are. The woman in the office could go home alone every night, the mother walking down the street may not know how she is gonna feed her children, the man on the corner...Well we will get to him later. People judge people and that is what people do. Today children in school are judged so many ways and that can cause so many things to happen. Enough with they judging let us get back to the MAN ON THE CORNER. He once was man who had lots of authority, power, and fame. He lived in a nice house and drove a nice car, but yet he standing on a corner. He went to the best school and raised a family. Then one day he lost it all by ONE thing he went to WAR... That is now why he is the Man on the Corner.

Thought for the day!
I believe that everything has a purpose and place in life. I just don't believe that a person that cannot say anything nice to someone and has to always belittle them really serves any purpose at all. I think that maybe one day just one day that this person would wake up and realize that hey being nicew might actually work. Sometimes I believe that happiness can only be achieved through ones self and not trying to satisfy yourself through others. You can make yourself happy or miserable. It shouldn't matter how people treat you, you can avoid them and just tell yourself that you will be happy no matter what happens in life or how badly people treat you. Just a thought
